Must Do:
Eze Village - A medieval village about a 5 minute drive from La Turbie. Spend the day wandering through his beautiful mountaintop village. Be sure to visit the Parfumeur Fragonard and take a tour of the factory where the perfumes are made. You can purchase their exclusive perfumes, eaux de toilette, soaps and cosmetics too.
St. Paul de Vence - A beautiful walled in medieval city that features many artists, and is great village to purchase gifts.
Monaco/MonteCarlo - Old and new sections. In the old section, climb up the hill to the palace where Princess Grace lived and cathedral where she was buried. Visit the shops. In the newer section, there is the Casino and elegant shops nearby. There are also beaches in Monte Carlo, and there are underground parking lots near the beaches and palace. Follow the signs.
Nice - Vieux (old) Nice, quaint shops and restaurants in narrow, winding streets and an open, canopied area that is the flower market by day and seafood restaurants by night. On Mondays, the area becomes a flea market. The Zone Pietone (pedestrian) street, just off the Place Messena, is full of shops and restaurants.
Isola 2000 - Winter ski resort.
To do (if time permits):
Try to spend some time driving through all of the little villages along the sea. Each on is more beautiful than the last one! Plus...
Grasse - A perfume factory, on the way to Saint Paul de Vence.
Biot - A glass blowing factory, near Grasse. It is fascinating to watch the men at work. You can also purchase this unique glassware to take it back or they will ship it anywhere for you. Be prepared if you want to ship/mail anything, it's expensive.
Vintmille, Italy - (Ventimiglia in Italian) A city just over the Italian border. Easy to drive on the A8, or you can take the train from Monaco. On Fridays, the city transforms into a giant open air market. Liquor is cheaper in Italy. Remember your passports!
Antibes - A port town on the way to Cannes. The Picasso Museum is located there.
Cannes - Take a picnic lunch and take the boat to Ile St. Marguerite for the day. Visit the prison where the Man in the Iron Mask was imprisoned.
Gorges de Verdun - Beautiful canyons about 2 hours away.
Beach towns - Any beaches along the Mediterranean coast. Remember to wear flip-flops or sandals on the beaches, as most are pebbles. Don't be shocked at the topless women!
Many art museums - Chagall, Matisse, Picasso, etc.
